Puppy 101 covers basic commands and common behavioral problems encountered by most dog owners in six one-hour classes. Sit, wait, settle, drop, no jump and walking on a loose leash are among the skills taught. Emphasis is placed on promoting improved communication between dog and handler. Group classes are available or one-on-one private classes taught in your home.
Level I Obedience emphasizes consistency and teamwork between handler and dog, building on the skills introduced in Puppy 101. The commands covered in Level I include sit –stay with no verbal command, heeling, come with distractions, turns, daily health inspections. Six one-hour classes may be done as group or individual sessions.

Kids in K-9 Control, offered as six one-hour classes, is taught specifically for children to help them master the techniques of having Rover listen to them. Improve your child’s mastery over the dog, giving the child more confidence and you more free time! Basic commands are taught and reinforced along with grooming and feeding fundamentals. First aid ABCs will also be discussed.
Private Training in your home is offered for all of the above classes. Additionally assessment of aggression and other problem behaviors Is available.
Level II Obedience focuses refining the skills of the 101 and Level I courses, using distractions, prolonged positioning, recall and response in motion. Training drills to reinforce immediate responses and timely follow through are highlighted. Six one-hour classes may be done as group or individual sessions.
Canine Good Citizen is a certification program designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All handler/dog teams that pass the test receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club (AKC). Six training sessions cover the material on the examination which is given in class seven.

Pet First Aid, taught by a certified instructor, is a six hour class covering first aid basics including bleeding, shock, animal bites, injury assessment, CPR and rescue breathing. Assembling a pet first aid kit as well as transporting an injured animal will be taught. Pet First Aid handbook will be reviewed and a copy provided to each participant.
Babies and Bow-Wows is a class for new and expecting parents teaching techniques to make that first baby-dog meeting a positive one. CDs and written materials are used to present tips and ideas for preparing your dog and your home for safe and happy baby-dog interactions. This can be taught privately at your home or in group classes.
